In Las Vegas, we have four principal jails, the Clark County Detention Center (CCDC), the Cities of Las Vegas, North Las Vegas and Henderson have jails also. If you get the phone call, find out which jail they're in, date of birth, SSN and inmate number if possible, (only one of those 3 are required).

You can check to see if someone is in custody at the Clark County Detention Center online. When someone is first arrested, because of the volume of information the jail must collect, it will often take some hours for CCDC to post the information on their website. Because they report only if the defendant is in custody or not, VINE, the Victim Information and Notification Everyday system, will also be able to tell you the status of a defendant.

The Cities of Las Vegas (702.229.6460), Henderson (702.267.4652) and North Las Vegas (702.633.1400) can all be reached by phone, or, call us at 702.385.2561 and we'll find them for you.

The Nevada Department of Corrections (NDOC) can be accessed here, or if you'd like to find someone's status in federal custody, you can check out the Federal Bureau of Prisons.
